COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – American Vein & Vascular Institute, a network of eight vein vein and vascular clinics in Colorado and Texas, recently honored employees for their exceptional work in the year of 2016. The peer-nominated awards were presented at a quarterly Directors and Managers meeting, hosted at the American Vein & Vascular Institute’s headquarters building in downtown Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – American Vein & Vascular Institute, a network of eight vein diagnosis and treatment centers in Colorado and Texas, recently honored employees for their exceptional work in the year of 2016. The peer-nominated awards were presented at a quarterly Directors and Managers meeting, hosted at the American Vein & Vascular Institute’s headquarters building in downtown Colorado Springs.

The 2016 Employee Excellence Awards comprises of nine employee and team awards, seven of which are peer nominated, one of which is profit-based and one of which is chosen exclusively by the co-founders, Chief Medical Executive Gordon F. Gibbs, M.D., and his wife, CEO Erin Gibbs. The awards recognize outstanding contributions of individuals and teams that have helped move the company forward in becoming a leading provider of vein and vascular healthcare.

  • The Founder’s Award: Cyndie Geltroth (Clinic Manager, Parker and Littleton clinics)
  • The Rookie of the Year Award: LaTasha Vines (Phlebologist, Arlington clinic)
  • The Unsung Hero Award: Lisa Nowlin (RVT, Parker clinic)
  • The Service Excellence Award: Javier Calderon (Technical Director, Practice Management)
  • The Provider of the Year Award: Dr. Emma Stout, Diplomate American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine (Provider, Colorado Springs clinic)
  • The Clinic/Team of the Year Award: Parker Clinic Team
  • Sock MVP Award: Maggie Hernandez (Receptionist, Arlington clinic)
  • Top Sock Award: Colorado Springs Clinic Staff

American Vein & Vascular Institute began the Employee Excellence Awards program in 2013, shortly after the expansion from one to five clinics.
