Dr. Hurlbert has been treating vascular patients in Colorado Springs since 1998 and has many “firsts” on his resume. Not only was he the first in southern Colorado to perform minimally invasive Aortic Endograft repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, he also was the first in the region to do rotational atherectomy for blockages in leg arteries and the first to perform laser ablation for the treatment of varicose veins.

He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado, where he graduated with honors. Additionally, he completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and his fellowship in vascular surgery, involving extensive experience in endovascular therapy, at Southern Illinois University.
