Phlebologist

Sarah K. Roark MSNL, AGACNP-BC is a phlebologist at American Vein & Vascular. Sarah has been working in healthcare since 2005. She practiced as a Cardiothoracic ICU, Cath Lab, ER, and General ICU RN in Oklahoma, Florida, and Colorado. Since earning her Adult Gerontology/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree in 2016, she has worked in Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, Pulmonary, and Critical Care. While in Vascular Surgery, she served as first assist. She has experience in Sleep Medicine and worked closely with the Lung Nodule Clinic for Rocky Mountain Cancer Center.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Tulsa. She then earned her Masters of Science in Nursing Leadership at Southern Nazarene University in Tulsa, OK. During this program, she completed her thesis on Resilience.

She is also a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga instructor specializing in Vinyasa. On her time off, she enjoys spending time with her son. 4-legged members of the family include a German Shepherd, Belgian Mallinois, and two Sphynx cats. She loves to ride horses, hike, travel, and read.

Roark received her phlebology training through the fellowship program developed by Dr. Gordon Gibbs, American Vein & Vascular Institute Founder and Chief Medical Executive. Completion of the fellowship ensures that doctors are trained in the American Vein & Vascular Institute treatment philosophy, which focuses on patient-centric, personalized care paired with compassion and expertise
