The RPhS credentialing exam was first given in 2010. There are five RPhS credentialed technologists in Colorado, two of whom work for Rocky Mountain Vein Institute. Miklich is the only one south of the Denver Metro area. Nationwide, there are only 181 RPhS certified technologists.
“Ashley’s new credential shows her deep dedication to the field of vein care,” says RMVI Founder/CEO and Chief Medical Officer, Gordon F. Gibbs, M.D. “She is one among our carefully chosen staff of well-credentialed, vein-specialized sonographers, and we take pride in her progress as a medical professional. Ashley has shown she wants to go the extra mile to exceed the level of professionalism our patients expect. RMVI congratulates her on this significant achievement.”
“I’ve been with Rocky Mountain Vein Institute for more than two years, and I’m proud to be part of the RMVI team,” says Miklich, who is a registered radiologic sonographer with specialized experience in the imaging areas of OBGYN, breast tissue, vascular and phlebology. “I love being involved in the healing process of venous disease.”
Miklich grew up in Colorado and earned a B.S. in Social Science from St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2001. She received an associate degree in radiology and certifications in sonography from Pueblo Community College.
Dr. Gibbs and his wife Erin Reilly Gibbs founded Rocky Mountain Vein Institute (RMVI) in 2009, RMVI Services in 2010, and Trinity Vein Institute in 2012, with the goal of caring for people with venous disease, especially those without access to vein specialists. RMVI began with only three employees and now has more than 40, operating in four Colorado cities: Pueblo, Parker, Canon City, and Vail Valley, as well as in Arlington, Texas.
