PUEBLO, Colo. – Rocky Mountain Vein Institute (RMVI) Services, a network of vein diagnosis and treatment centers in Colorado and Texas, announces that Emma Stout, MD has completed her rigorous certification training and joined the vein specialists at its Pueblo Riverwalk facility.
Dr. Stout, a family practitioner, has finished a phlebology fellowship under the direction of Dr. Gordon Gibbs, RMVI founder and chief medical executive. Gibbs created the fellowship program for doctors wanting to specialize in phlebology, a branch of medicine that deals with veins and their diseases. Completion of the RMVI fellowship ensures that doctors are trained in the RMVI treatment philosophy, which focuses on patient-centric, personalized care paired with compassion and expertise.
“Emma is a very dedicated doctor,” Gibbs says. “She has worked extremely hard to complete the program, and we are confident that she is not only a fantastic vein specialist, but fully experienced with our staff and patients, and with the unique, empathetic methods for which RMVI is known.”
Stout, who is from Novara, Italy, attended medical school at the University of Rome La Sapienza. The granddaughter of a surgeon, she grew up with a passion for medicine and providing care for those in need. Stout performed her residency at St. Mary Corwin Regional Medical Center. She chose the Pueblo hospital partly for its small community setting and because it gave her the opportunity to care for underserved patients.
“RMVI provides care for people suffering with venous disease, especially those without access to vein specialists,” Stout says. “I gained so much valuable knowledge and skill in the fellowship program. I believe I can make a difference here.”
RMVI Services manages a network of vein centers that offer total vein care, from the simplest cosmetic problem to the most life-altering condition.
