Edwards, Colo. – Rocky Mountain Vein Institute (RMVI), a network of vein centers that offers total vein care, from the simplest cosmetic problem to the most life-altering condition, is pleased to announce the opening of “Rocky Mountain Vein Institute: Vail Valley,” a new RMVI clinic located in beautiful Vail Valley, in Edwards, Colo., in Eagle County. The new RMVI facility officially opens May 14, 2012, and will be the first full-time clinic and diagnostic center dedicated to vein and vascular care within the community and surrounding mountain areas.

RMVI’s firm commitment to healthcare and local communities were leading drivers in the decision to open a Vail Valley, Colo., clinic and diagnostic center. Previously, patients were sent to Denver for vascular ultrasound testing. With the Rocky Mountain Vein Institute: Vail Valley opening, state-of-the-art diagnostic services and world-class treatments for venous disease and healthy, improved living are readily available to central Colorado and surrounding regions. Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Georgetown, Idaho Springs and all of Summit and Eagle County communities will be directly and immediately affected.

“We saw a need within the mountain community for the level of care and commitment RMVI offers people who are dealing with venous disease,” said RMVI Founder and Chief Medical Executive, Gordon F. Gibbs, M.D. “It is with great pride that we can provide such a needed and superior resource both for our patients and our healthcare colleagues.”

“At RMVI, we are dedicated to treating the needs of the whole person, in addition to treating the symptoms of venous disease,” said Julie Current, Lead Physician Assistant at the new Vail Valley clinic. “When I met the RMVI team, I immediately recognized the value of their overall care and knew that they would be welcomed in Vail Valley.” RMVI provides patients with diagnosis and treatment for venous disease, resulting in improved quality of life. The minimally invasive procedures are recognized and covered by most health insurances. RMVI is also home to The Diagnostic Center. The Diagnostic Center offers venous reflux exams and a full vascular lab with Peripheral Arterial Disease testing, Extra-Cranial Cerebrovascular exams and Abdominal Visceral ultrasounds.
